Invictus Games on BBC

For the first time, the BBC will be streaming all the live coverage and ceremonies from the Invictus Games. Coverage begins on iPlayer and Red Button at 6pm on September 9th. Audiences will be able stream up to three events a day throughout the Games with coverage concluding on September 16th.

The One Show will also be at the heart of the action, bringing audiences all the latest news and interviews from Dusseldorf throughout the week. JJ Chalmers will be joined by special guests and explore the inspiring stories of recovery and rehabilitation from the athletes across the competition.

The sixth edition of the Games comes will begin with the Opening Ceremony where competitors from 21 nations will be greeted by Prince Harry and entertained by a performance from American rapper, Macklemore.

The competition gets underway on September 10th with live action from the Athletics, Powerlifting and Wheelchair Rugby competitions.

The Live Schedule – BBC iPlayer and Red Button:

  • September 9th – Opening Ceremony from 6pm
  • September 10th – Athletics, Wheelchair Rugby and Powerlifting from 7.55am
  • September 11th – Athletics and Wheelchair Rugby from 7.55am
  • September 12th – Wheelchair Basketball and Indoor Rowing from 7.50am
  • September 13th – Swimming, Wheelchair Basketball and Table Tennis from 7.50am
  • September 14th – Sitting Volleyball and Table Tennis from 7.50am
  • September 15th – Cycling, Archery, Table Tennis and Sitting Volleyball from 7.50am
  • September 16th – Archery from 11.35 am and Closing Ceremony from 7pm

Audiences will also be able to stream the Closing Ceremony, featuring performances from Sam Ryder and Rita Ora from 7pm.
