This October, the celebrated and empowering women’s network, Wonder Women TV, will hold their inaugural all-day Wonder Women Conference supported by BAFTA at their 195 Piccadilly HQ.
WW is leading the charge in supporting freelancers with a full day of game-changing, career-enhancing leadership and development training during the biggest unscripted crisis in history.
This inspirational conference founded by TV presenter, Ria Hebden, is dedicated to fostering employability, social mobility, and diversity within the realms of television and the creative industries. Designed for diverse women at mid-senior career levels, the transformational conference places a special emphasis on elevating women from underrepresented and marginalised backgrounds.
“Given the current tough economic times, teamed with the pause on new commissions, reduced ad spend and strikes in the US, we know that many freelancers are being hit hard which is why we’re thrilled to be delivering a full day of inspiring talks with industry leaders, immersive workshops that focus on developing resilience and structured networking to support the most marginalised members of the freelancing community. Freelancers are the backbone of the TV industry although are often the first to be forgotten in times of crisis, so we’re delighted to be partnering with BAFTA to deliver this transformational event instilling a renewed confidence of self-worth and appreciation in the freelancing community,” said Hebden.
Sara Putt, Chair of BAFTA, will open the conference. She commented: “BAFTA is proud to support the powerhouse that is Ria Hebden and Wonder Women TV by hosting this transformative event at BAFTA, reinforcing our shared vision of creating an inclusive environment that nurtures personal growth, empowerment and equal opportunities for diverse women in TV and the creative industries.”
Scheduled to take place at BAFTA in London on October 7th, the Wonder Women Conference promises a transformative experience for all attendees. The event’s line-up boasts inspirational industry speakers, immersive workshops focusing on leadership and resilience, and structured networking opportunities aimed at fostering connection amongst the next generation of female leaders in the creative industries.
