FilmRise acquires Z Nation rights

FilmRise, the New York City-based film and television studio and streaming network, has acquired certain digital rights to the SYFY Channel zombie series Z Nation from The Asylum, the motion picture and television studios.

The deal gives FilmRise worldwide distribution rights to all five seasons of the sci-fi, horror/drama series for all digital media including ad-supported streaming, digital linear, AVoD, FAST, SVoD, FVoD, TVoD, EST, as well as exclusive airline and ancillary rights.

The deal includes 69 episodes, each 60 minutes across 5 seasons. The deal was negotiated by Katherine Weinstein, Manager of Content Acquisitions for FilmRise and Courtney Kensington, VP of Sales and Finance for The Asylum.
