Prime Video to premiere Man United 99 docuseries

Prime Video will premiere 99, a documentary series exploring Manchester United’s historic treble-winning season, within which the iconic team won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League across 10 pivotal days in 1999.

The UK Original documentary will launch in over 240 countries and territories worldwide exclusively on Prime Video later on May 17th. The trailer can be viewed here.

This series is both a love letter to one of the greatest achievements in world football and the story of a group of players who were recruited, coached and moulded by Sir Alex Ferguson to create history. Featuring exclusive interviews from the key characters in the story – including David Beckham, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Peter Schmeichel and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – viewers can recall every perspective and vital moment in vivid detail. Constructed using never-before-seen archive footage as well as behind-the-scenes candid video from the club and fans, 99 takes audiences back to a defining moment in sport, going behind the curtain of this era-defining triumph.

99 is co-produced by documentary teams at Ventureland, Studio 99 – the production company founded by Beckham – and Buzz16 founded by Neville. Ventureland’s John Battsek and Miles Coleman will produce the series, Executive Producers are Nicola Howson and David Gardner for Studio 99, Scott Melvin for Buzz 16 and Kerstin Emhoff for Ventureland. Sampson Collins, the RTS winning director of Gazza, is directing the series.
