Italian DTH platform Tivùsat has surpassed 3 million active smart cards, representing over 9 per cent of Italian households.

Since launching on July 31st 2009, the satellite-based platform has seen constant growth, especially after the completion of the analogue switch-off in Italy. The positive trend has continued in the first months of 2017.

Tivùsat distributes over 90 TV channels of the main Italian broadcasters, including RAI, Mediaset, La7, Discovery Italia and Sky Italia. Of the total, 30 TV channels are in HD, there are also 43 radio stations, several On Demand services and 3 TV channels in 4K, mostly used to broadcast  special events.

Tivùsat also offers the TivuOn service, an application that allows TV viewers to access the on demand services of the main Italian TV networks.
