Pace to use Myriad’s Java technology

April 30, 2013

Myriad Group, the company creating and connecting communities across mobile and TV, has announced that Pace has selected Myriad’s Java technology for use in their RDK compliant set-top boxes.

The JVM is a key component of the Comcast Reference Design Kit (RDK), a pre-integrated software bundle for set-top boxes, multi-tuner video gateways and client devices that is rapidly being adopted as a global industry standard by TV platform operators worldwide. RDK enables operators and device vendors to quickly develop and deploy new solutions. Pace uses RDK in a range of its products.

Ed Zylka, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Myriad’s Device Solutions Division, commented: “Our team will work with Pace to help deliver a high quality solution to Comcast and other cable TV providers in North America.  This new customer relationship further expands our set-top market share, and demonstrates Myriad’s continued leadership and commitment to the TV service provider market globally.”
