Vision247’s ‘Perception’ for T-2 shortlisted for IBC2013 Innovation Award

The creation, by Vision247 and Fora, of a high performance telco rated IPTV platform called Perception, delivering evolved services andseamless convergence across multiple platforms for Slovenian telecoms service provider T-2, has been shortlisted for an IBC2013 Innovation Award for content management.
From more than 200 submissions, ten were selected to be recognised not just for new technology, but for its application by the IBC Innovation Awards judging panel. T-2 was shortlisted as an end user that brought together technology partners and collaborators Vision247 and Fora to realise a creative, commercial or technical goal.
Vision247 has developed a massively scalable, enterprise quality, GRID-based platform for managing unlimited custom commercial TV packages. Perception provides hundreds of linear digital TV services, and more than 20 HD services across a range of viewing models including free, subscription time-based services and pay-per-view services.
Subscribers have the option of accessing a complete interactive multimedia experience via smartTVs, connected set top boxes, PC devices, and on iOS or Android mobile devices. Alongside IPTV and IP radio streams, video on demand, and sharing, Perception’s Multimedia Gateway Cloud provides Time Shift and PVR facilities, meaning missed TV can be viewed on devices which do not even support recording.
