Cleeng enables subscription-based interactive courses from Arm Education Media

August 22, 2017

Cleeng, a specialist in video monetisation solutions, has teamed up with Arm Education Media, a publishing operation within Arm, a semiconductor IP company, to launch an online training platform for aspiring and practicing technology professionals. The project aims to help bridge the education or “skills gap” between what students at educational institutions are taught and the knowledge and skills required in today’s computer engineering job market.

Key features of the platform are constantly maintained interactive online courses and e-first textbooks offered through a subscription-based digital content hub. The hub offers robust coursework and resources that span a variety of topics from embedded systems design and programming, the Internet of Things (IoT), SoC design, and robotics. Intended for academics, students, and professional engineers, the skills development curriculum aims to enhance education and build the proficiency required to compete in today’s job market.

The project uses the Cleeng turnkey platform that helps premium video publishers to authenticate, sell and protect premium videos, live and on-demand as an OTT service. The subscription model for premium video-on-demand enables brands to build new revenue sources by selling subscriptions, while Cleeng handles the payments, reporting, and customer care.

“Together with Arm Education Media we are bringing modernity to eLearning with the educational resources it provides to students,” said Chrysann Sutton, VP of Sales – SVoD, Cleeng. “We are excited to be supporting subscriber and identity management with our digital video e-commerce expertise, and look forward to further enhancing the platform, grow the OTT service, and deliver a best-in-class user experience.”

“Through our digital training hub, Arm Education Media and partners are aiming to address the growing engineering skills gap, along with providing a strong customer focus and value,” said Khaled Benkrid, director of education and research, Arm. “This collaboration with Cleeng will help in shaping a future where high quality, tailored educational content is offered for students on demand to drive accelerated learning for an ever-evolving job market.”
