Deschamps was a keynote speaker at the Arab Innovation Summit in Dubai

On February 27th, Drake Star’s Managing Partner and Co-CEO Marc Deschamps joined the Arab Innovation’s conference in Dubai as one of its keynote speakers. Arab Innovation is the largest gathering of innovations and innovators in the Middle East and North Africa region, held annually in February.

Deschamps’ keynote was titled “7 tech trends that will (re)shape the world (and redefine the entrepreneur’s economy).” His presentation was developed in collaboration with global strategy consulting firm Roland Berger. Invited by Dubai’s Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation for Drake Star Partners’ understanding of technologies and world-changing innovations, Deschamps joined a select group of industry leaders to discuss 6 main sectors: Smart Government; Transportation; Health Care; Energy and Utilities; Technology; Financial Services.

Deschamps’ forecast focused on 7 global disruptive tech trends which are founded on current and future investments and M&A activity: Fintech, Blockchain, Future Mobility, Internet of Things, Robotics, Smart Cities and Artificial Intelligence. Mr. Deschamps’ exposé also demonstrated how these tech trends will lead to the proliferation of tech hubs around the world.

Following his keynote speech at Arab Innovation, Mr. Deschamps commented: “From what I gathered over the past few days, most tech and finance leaders agree that tomorrow’s innovations will differ from today’s in terms of their volume and impact. We are seeing a strong acceleration of financial activity in core sectors that will profoundly transform our society. Dubai’s place in the world is a perfect example of this acceleration.”

Joining Marc Deschamps on day-2 of the summit to share their own thoughts on “Innovation in Technology” were Adaptive manufacturing specialist Rania Rostom (Chief Innovation Officer for GE), J.
