Vodafone Spain: Revenues down, subs flat

The football TV war is the main factor in Vodafone Spain announcing a 7.3 per cent fall in revenues – to €1.16 billion – in its third fiscal quarter (October-December).
The previous quarter ‘s revenues (July-September) also dropped by 4.8 per cent, marking a negative trend.
In the third quarter, TV subscribers rose by just 13,000 to 1.28 million, whilst it lost 94,000 mobile customers.
The company revealed earlier this month it would be laying off some 1,200 staff.
