UK public names Plusnet its favourite broadband provider

Plusnet has been named best broadband provider in the UK for the third year in a row. Research and analysis from UK broadband comparison website Broadband Genie found Plusnet scored well across all categories, comfortably winning the main award.
Post Office Broadband was voted most trusted provider and Zen Internet picked up the award for most recommended ISP. Plusnet took home the remaining awards including best customer care and best value. Zen Internet winning ‘most recommended ISP’ marks the first time a smaller provider has taken home a Broadband Genie award.
As major providers have a large market share it’s easy for niche providers to be overlooked. Third party websites are a great way to find and compare more specialist ISPs that may match a user’s needs. For example, the majority of larger providers have a reputation for poor customer service, where smaller providers often offer a more personal service. This can be ideal at either end of the user spectrum: from the elderly unfamiliar with the technology, through to expert users looking for more complex solutions.
