Extraction 2 at Netflix #1 for a third week

Extraction 2 held the top spot on Netflix’s English Films list for the third straight week with 17.5 million views, making it the most-viewed title on the streaming service again in the week commencing June 26th. To date, the Chris Hemsworth-starring blockbuster has 102.5 million views. The first installment of Extraction also held strong on the list for the third week with 6 million views. The Mother starring Jennifer Lopez entered the new Most Popular list at #10  (now based on 91 days of views) with 128.7 million views since its May 12th premiere.

Audiences turned to love stories as rom-com The Perfect Find, based on the novel by Tia Williams and starring Gabrielle Union and Keith Powers, climbed to #2 (11 million views). New to the list were psychological thriller Run Rabbit Run (8.4 million views), starring Sarah Snook, and the critically acclaimed animated feature Nimona (3.2 million views), based on ND Stevenson’s beloved webcomic and graphic novel. Returning films included documentary Take Care of Maya (4.6 million views), and Roald Dahl’s Matilda: The Musical (2.4 million views).

The Witcher Season 3: Volume 1 debuted atop the English TV List with 15.2 million views (73 million view hours divided by 4.82 runtime hours). Fans of the fantasy franchise also sent Season 1 back to the list with 2.2 million views this week. Returning favourites included Black Mirror Season 6 at #2 (5.4 million views), Catching Killers Season 3 at #3 (4.1 million views), Glamorous at #4 (3.5 million views), Our Planet II at #5 (2.9 million views), and Never Have I Ever Season 4 at #6 (2.9 million views). Documentary series Muscles and Mayhem: An Unauthorized Story of American Gladiators debuted at #8 with 2.8 million views.

On the Non-English Films List, Spain’s Through My Window: Across the Sea remained at #1 with 10.4 million views, as the original film Through My Window returned for its 15th week on the list with 2.6 million views. Turkish rom-com Make Me Believe held at #2 (9.6 million views) followed by South African heist drama iNumber Number: Jozi Gold at #3 (5 million views). New entrants included India’s Lust Stories 2 (4.2 million views) and Korea’s King of Clones (2 million views).  Returning to the list were Danish drama A Beautiful Life, Japanese anime Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, and Turkish drama You Do You. 

Returning favourites dominated the Non-English TV List, with Korean drama King the Land (4 million views), German crime thriller Sleeping Dog (3.8 million views),  Mexican drama The Surrogacy (3.1 million views), Korea’s Bloodhounds (2.6 million views) and See You in My 19th Life (1.9 million views), and Colombia’s Fake Profile leading the way. New entrants included Thailand’s DELETE and Korea’s Celebrity.
