SpaceX’s Starlink broadband by satellite service has been made available in two new markets: Malaysia and Malawi. The service launched in Kenya a week ago.

It is known that Zimbabwe, Botswana, Tanzania and Zambia are likely to add Starlink services later in 2023, although South Africa is still awaiting being licensed by the authorities. The giant potential of Egypt is likely to see a service arrive in 2024. Southern Africa’s Angola and Namibia will see service in Q4/2023.

India and Pakistan are said to be “still waiting regulatory approval”. Bangladesh is promised for 2024.

Other major potential markets for Starlink include Turkey (“starting in 2024”), Saudi Arabia (“2024”), Cambodia (“2024”), Indonesia (“2024”), Papua New Guinea (Q3/2023”), South Korea (Q3/2023”), Argentina (“2024”),Paraguay (“2024”) and Bolivia (“2024”).
