Heart of Stone holds on to Netflix #1

Action-thriller Heart of Stone starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan had a strong second week on Netflix, clocking 35.2 million views, and #1 in 91 countries, to take the top spot on the English Films List in the week commencing August 14th. Animated film The Monkey King starring Jimmy O. Yang and Bowen Yang debuted in second place with 8.1 million views while Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie remained on the list for the fourth week in a row, coming in sixth with 3.5 million views. Sports documentaries took two spots on the list with Untold: Hall of Shame at #9 (3 million views) and Untold: Johnny Football at #10 (2.8 million views). 

Viewers were eager for action, as Extraction 2 starring Chris Hemsworth broke onto the Most Popular list at #10 with 129.3 million views in the first 66 days since launch. Extraction is the first film franchise to chart two films on the Most Popular list simultaneously, and this marks the third AGBO film to join the list along with The Gray Man. The first installment holds the #9 spot with 135.7 million views in its first 91 days. 

Documentary series Depp V Heard debuted in the top spot on the English TV List with 16.2 million views, while Painkiller held strong for a second week at #2 with 10.9 million views. The limited series starring Matthew Broderick and Uzo Aduba has 18.1 million views to date in its first 10 days. Returning series dominated the list with The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 at #5 (2.9 million views), Gabby’s Dollhouse Season 8 at #6 (2.6 million views), The Witcher Season 3 at #7 (1.9 million views), The Upshaws Part 4 at #8 (1.8 million views), and Heartstopper Season 2 at #10 (1.8 million views). New entrants this week included At Home with the Furys at #4 (3.3 million views) and the animated series Mech Cadets at #9 (1.8 million views). 

Mexican coming of age supernatural adventure The Chosen One topped the Non-English TV List with 3.1 million views. Korea had a strong week with four entries on the list, including the new K-dramas Mask Girl at #2 (2.8 million views) and Behind Your Touch at #4 (2.5 million views), along with romantic comedy King the Land at #5 (2 million views) and fantasy series The Uncanny Counter 2 at #7 (2 million views). Japan had two entries with the animes My Happy Marriage at #2 (2 million views) and Baki Hanma at #10 (1 million views). Rounding out the list were Spanish romantic comedy A Perfect Story at #3 (2.7 million views), Indian thriller Guns and Gulaabs at #8 (1.3 million views), and Turkish drama The Tailor at #9 (1.3 million views).

Brazilian true crime documentary A Life Too Short: The Isabella Nardoni Case debuted at #1 on the Non-English Films List with 5.7 million views. Other new additions to the list included the Turkish drama 10 Days of a Bad Man at #3 (3.1 million views) and the Spanish neo-noir Xtreme at #10 (1.1 million). Making their return were the German dystopian thriller Paradise in second (5.7 million views), Japanese black comedy Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead in fifth (6.2 million views), Nigerian drama Jagun Jagun in sixth (2.1 million views), Taiwanese horror-comedy Marry My Dead Body in seventh (1.5 million views) and Polish action thriller Soulcatcher in ninth (1.1 million views).
