DoubleVerify announces EMEA hires

DoubleVerify (DV), a software platform for digital media measurement, data and analytic has announced its expansion across EMEA, including new senior hires in the region. Lisa Mahfud, Daniele Maccarrona, and Kenny Spangberg will spearhead growth for DV, each taking on the role of Business Director in the Netherlands, Italy, and Sweden respectively.
With 65 per cent of Italians holding brands and advertisers responsible for fighting the spread of misinformation and disinformation and 72 per cent saying they’re concerned it’s getting worse according to the DV Four Fundamental Shifts in Advertising & Media report, brands and agencies need local expertise to help them navigate the disruptive environment.
Maccarrona joins to enable that support in Italy and Southern Europe, as well as helping clients and partners around the world to demonstrate the efficacy of their marketing spend in the region. He brings over 17 years of experience in advertising, media, and technology—a career which first began in 2006 at Yahoo!. Most recently, Maccarrona was at Quantcast Italy, where he led the execution of commercial strategy. “Italy is home to some fantastic local and global brands, many of whom are in need of a partner that can help navigate an increasingly complicated advertising landscape. I’m proud to join the team delivering that work and look forward to accelerating business growth across Southern Europe while delivering a fantastic experience for our clients,” said Maccarrona.
Mahfud joins DV’s Dutch office after spending over a decade in leadership roles in the advertising industry, most recently acting as Country Manager at Targetspot. Drawing on this wealth of experience, she will helm DV’s growth in the Netherlands where DV aims to help both local and global brands based in the country to successfully activate and deliver on their campaign and business objectives. “It’s fantastic to join DV, and I’m excited to be a part of building a better advertising ecosystem. Spangberg is tasked to lead business growth in Sweden. With experience in several leadership roles in the advertising and startup sectors, including at Google, Xaxis, and Widespace, Spangberg’s skill set will play a critical role in driving DV’s commercial strategy in the Nordics and Northern Europe. “The Nordics present a fast-growing market for digital advertising, and DV is a true leader in providing brands with the insight they need for their campaigns to be a success. I’m energised by the opportunity we have to transform advertising in the region while growing the business,” said Spangberg.
