Griselda holds onto Netflix #1

Griselda, the limited series starring and executive produced by Sofía Vergara, spent its second week at #1 on the Netflix English TV List with 20.6 million views in the week commencing January 29th. It reached the Top 10 in 90 countries and was again the most watched title of the week. New entrants on the list included the docuseries Alexander: The Making of a God at #2 (7.1 million views) in second place (7.1 million views) and NASCAR: Full Speed in ninth place (1.5 million views). Season 2 of Love on the Spectrum US spent its second week on the list at #5 with 2.3 million views. Harlan Coben’s crime thriller Fool Me Once came in at #4 (5.1 million views) and also entered the Most Popular English TV List at #9, with 84.9 million views in its 35 first days on Netflix.
Elsewhere on the Most Popular Lists, Sam Esmail’s apocalyptic thriller, Leave the World Behind, rose to #6 on the Most Popular English Films List with 137.7 million views in its first 59 days on Netflix. Money Heist spin-off series BERLIN (Spain) rose to #9 on the Most Popular Non-English TV List with 51.9 million views in its first 38 days on Netflix, in addition to nabbing the #4 spot on the Non-English TV List.
The Greatest Night in Pop, Bao Nguyen’s documentary which goes behind the making of the legendary charity single We Are the World, debuted atop the English Films List with 11.9 million views. DreamWorks Animation’s Orion and the Dark, the new animated family film directed by Sean Charmatz and written by Charlie Kaufman, entered the the list in second place with 10 million views. Lift, starring Kevin Hart, spent its fourth week on the list in third place with 8.2 million views, bringing its total views since take-off to 95.1 million.
Romantic drama Doctor Slump (Korea) jumped to #1 on the Non-English TV List with 2.9 million views. First-time entrants included the crime thriller Baby Bandito (Chile) in second place (2 million views), the anime Four Knights of the Apocalypse: The Seven Deadly Sins (Japan) in third place (1.9 million views), and the animated kids series Mighty Bheem’s Playtime (India) in fifth place (1.5 million views).
Action-adventure Badland Hunters (Korea) spent its second week in the top spot on the Non-English Films List with 18.1 million views. Best International Film Oscar nominee Society of the Snow (Spain), from director J.A. Bayona, clocked its fifth week on the list in second place with 10.6 million views. World War II drama WIL (Belgium) debuted on the list in fifth place (3.4 million views).
