Norwegian Max Original MILF of Norway premieres in May

MILF of Norway starring Mariann Hole (Made in Oslo, Ammo) and Trond Fausa Aurvåg (Oppenheimer, Lilyhammer) will premiere on May 21st, exclusively on Max. The Norwegian Max Original will reach an International audience as Warner Bro Discovery’s new streaming service Max launches across Europe.
Max offers content from HBO Max and discovery+, all in one place. MILF of Norway, a new scripted comedy from Max, will be available when the new streaming service launches in Norway and a number of European countries on May 21st.
The spark in Lene’s marriage is long gone and when she suddenly loses her job at a prestigious advertisement agency, she feels lost and humiliated, wondering what to do next. One drunken night, she posts a scantily clad picture of herself wearing a traditional folk costume – mostly as a joke – on the website InsideFans.
Lene soon realises there is a niche audience out there who are thirsty for more and willing to pay for it. The side income comes in handy, as the excitement and freedom she feels living this new, secret life is hard to deny. At the same time, the fear of being exposed is exhausting – because who are they really, the people watching her?
“A show about Internet porn and a midlife crisis was not exactly on my wish list, but the script was incredible. Combined with a dream team of actors and Rune Langlo on board as director, this was an opportunity I could not pass up. It’s the dream role I didn’t know I wanted,” said lead actress Mariann Hole. “MILF of Norway has become so much more than what I had imagined, and I hope viewers will enjoy the show’s funny and rather dark universe.”
The character she portrays in MILF of Norway, Lene, is a woman in her early 40s who lives with her husband Lars (played by Trond Fausa Aurvåg) and teenage son Mons (Fridtjof Beer Roland) in a quiet town outside of Oslo.
Norwegian content, International audience

MILF of Norway (8 episodes) premieres on Max on launch day, May 21st. Following the premiere, one episode will be available weekly on Fridays.
