Accedo, a video experience pioneer, has announced the launch of a targeted advertising solution for Augmented Reality (AR) experiences with the API integration of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elemental MediaTailor.
The Accedo AR experience, powered by the Accedo One video platform, is designed to give a TV viewer a more personalised and engaging second-screen experience during long-distance sports events such as marathons, rally, or bicycle races.
AWS Elemental MediaTailor is a cloud-based video service that lets customers insert targeted advertising into video streams without sacrificing broadcast-level quality-of-service. With AWS Elemental MediaTailor, viewers of live or on-demand video each receive a stream that combines content with ads personalised to them.
The integration combines the Accedo One video experience platform with AWS Elemental MediaTailor to allow video service providers, brands, and broadcasters to monetise content with targeted advertising in the AR environment. It also addresses the technical challenges associated with AR device fragmentation, live video synchronization, and other information elements.
