Taiwan’s KBro, Saudi Arabia’s ITC climb Netflix ISP index

Netfix has released October data from its ISP Speed Index – a monthly update on which ISPs provide the best prime time Netflix streaming experience.

Noteworthy gains this month came from KBro in Taiwan, reaching 3.47 Megabits per second (Mbps) average for October (up from 2.93 Mbps the month prior and rising 5 spots in the rankings) and ITC in Saudi Arabia which experienced a gain of 0.57 Mbps, bringing its average monthly speed to 3.20 Mbps (from 2.63 Mbps in September). Zajil Telecom in Kuwait also enjoyed a significant increase in average speed, reaching 3.22 Mbps (up from 2.77 Mbps in September).

In terms of losses, Mundo Pacifico in Chile experienced a speed decrease of 0.57 Mbps, bringing its monthly average down to 3.21 (from 3.78 in September) and dropping two spots to 7th. Switzerland’s ImproWare dropped four spots to 6th and saw speeds slow by 0.17 Mbps, bringing its average monthly speed to 4.14 Mbps (from 4.31 in September).

In country rankings, Austria is up five spots to 12th (from 19th in September).
