January 21, 2022
Amy DeGregorio and Andrew Tew have been promoted to expanded sales, marketing and distribution roles at Hearst Media Production Group, formed in September 2021 to advance Hearst Television’s original programme production and distribution.
DeGregorio has been named senior vice president, managing director of sales for educational/informational (E/I) programming. She previously served as senior vice president, client solutions for Litton Entertainment, which earlier this month was rebranded as Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG). In her new role, she will lead HMPG’s sales marketing team and new business-development initiatives with a focus on national brand advertisers, organisations and foundations.
Tew has been named senior vice president, global licensing and distribution. He previously served as Litton’s vice president, licensing and distribution, and general manager, global channels. He will oversee and broaden HMPG’s programming and content-distribution footprint across domestic and international platforms, and will also focus on continued expansion of HMPG’s dedicated FAST channels.
“Amy and Andrew are forward-thinking executives who bring tremendous energy and insight to the team,” said Frank Biancuzzo, president of Hearst Media Production Group. “As HMPG expands its industry presence across all platforms, they’ll make important contributions in leading our sales, marketing and distribution strategies.”
HMPG’s current programme portfolio comprises more than 30 series and hundreds of hours of content annually on leading broadcast station groups and networks and on connected TV and streaming platforms. It has a library of more than 4,000 hours of programming and its content can be found in 97 countries.
DeGregorio joined Litton Entertainment in 2016 as senior director, integrated marketing, managing the creation, implementation and development of sales-driven programmes. She was named vice president, integrated marketing in 2018 and senior vice president, client solutions in 2020. She joined Litton from CBS Television Stations, where she was director, strategic and integrated marketing. Prior to CBS, she was manager, integrated strategic marketing, at NBCUniversal. Before that, she was marketing manager at Turner Broadcasting’s truTV and a senior coordinator, integrated marketing and promotion, at ABC Television. She began her career at MTV Networks in music marketing and promotion. She holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University. Among her industry activities, she is a volunteer with Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organisation promoting communication, public speaking and leadership.
As vice president of licensing and distribution, Tew has overseen domestic and international sales of original programming. Additionally, as general manager of global channels, he led the strategy and management of Litton’s portfolio of international FAST channels with distribution partners such as Samsung, Roku, Vizio and Xumo among others. He joined Litton in 2010 as a business development associate, became senior manager, then director of digital initiatives and distribution and director of digital and international. Tew was promoted in 2018 to vice president, licensing and distribution, adding the GM of global channels role in 2020. He began his media career at the New Orleans public relations firm Beuerman Miller Fitzgerald. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University. Among his civic and charitable activities, he serves on the boards of a number of Charleston, South Carolina, organisations including Society 1858 of the Gibbes Museum of Art, Redux Contemporary Art Center and Charleston Library Society.
