Facebook adds Snapchat features

March 10, 2017

Facebook has added Snapchat-style disappearing photos to its Messenger app, in its latest move to mimic its popular messaging rival.

The so-called ‘Messenger Day’ service lets user share photos and videos with illustrated filters and stickers that vanish in 24 hours – just like Snapchat stories. The service is currently being rolled out in the US with a full global rollout expected shortly.

Facebook has already added vanishing stories to its Instagram and WhatsApp products.
