Modern Times Group (MTG) has confirmed the appointment of Bun Beeson as Vice President of Pay-TV and Video-On-Demand Programming Acquisitions. Beeson will lead MTG’s team responsible for the acquisition of content for MTG’s Viasat Film and Series channels, and Viaplay and other streaming services in Scandinavia and internationally, and focus on the further development of MTG’s programming strategy in the rapidly evolving media landscape.
Beeson rejoins MTG in London after six years at BBC Worldwide as Vice President of Global Acquisitions in the Content Division, where she was responsible for acquiring all content for the international portfolio of BBC branded thematic channels. Beeson previously worked at MTG for four years, including two years as Head of Acquisitions of Pay-TV Programming for Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. Beeson will report into Vanda Rapti, Senior Vice President of Programming Acquisitions.
