Rakuten TV launches DAZN women’s football fast channel

Streaming platform Rakuten TV is launching a new football FAST channel, DAZN Women’s Football, for football fans to enjoy all the excitement of the game they love, coinciding with the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

DAZN Women’s Football Fast channel will give fans front row seats to the very best action in women’s football, including live UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) and Liga F games, behind-the-scenes access and highlights packages celebrating the biggest teams and players in women’s football. It will also air premium non-live formats, such as One Team, One Dream, a six-part full-length documentary series telling the behind-the-scenes story of Chelsea Women between 2019 and 2021, featuring coach Emma Hayes and star players such as Sam Kerr.

The channel will be available in UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Macedonia, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

According to the company, the launch of this new channel marks another milestone in Rakuten TV’s support for sports and inclusion, offering viewers unique and compelling content free of charge. The platform has always offered its viewers empowerment and diversity stories related to football through Rakuten Originals, documentaries that reflect the company’s DNA.

DAZN Women’s Football FAST channel will be available for streaming on the Rakuten TV app across all devices. Rakuten TV’s FAST channels line-up and AVoD section have experienced remarkable growth, motivating the streamer to explore content acquisition opportunities to operate its own channels tailored and localised to specific territories.
