For the first time in nearly two decades, UK viewers can tune-in to the Oscars ceremony completely free and exclusively on ITV with a raft of programming to celebrate the event.

On the night itself, March 10th, at 10.30pm viewers can join Jonathan Ross live on ITV1 and ITVX as he hosts the ultimate Oscars party with a special show bringing all the Hollywood action to UK viewers (all ITV1 content will be available on STV and STV Player), where he’ll be joined by a panel of special guests.

Preceding The Oscars, viewers will be able to get swept up in all of the Hollywood glamour with the official stream of the Oscars red carpet live show on ITVX exclusively for the UK from 9.30pm, with Ross King broadcasting directly from the event at the Dolby Theatre in LA.

Viewers can also delve into new, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, which is only available to watch in the UK on ITVX, which will be loaded onto the platform throughout the night.

On March 11th, viewers can continue to enjoy awards season, either by streaming the full ceremony or with a 90-minute highlights package of the ceremony, airing on ITV1 at 10.45pm that night. Plus this will be available to stream on the ITVX pop up Oscars page. Both versions will remain available for three weeks.

ITV will be warming up for the big night with a raft of content, starting on January 23rd, for the global stream of the Oscars nominations live on ITVX [timings to be confirmed]. Hosted by ITV News broadcaster Charlene White with Arts Editor Nina Nannar, the duo will delve into the runners and riders and guide viewers through events as the Hollywood crop find out who is in with a chance of scooping an Oscar.

From February 26th, viewers can warm up for the awards with a curated, dedicated FAST channel on ITVX. It will feature Oscar-nominated films from the past, including Monster’s Ball, Winter’s Bone, Adaptation, Bugsy Malone, Black Narcissus and Precious. Plus, movie fans get the inside track from Jonathan Ross in an Oscars special of his Must-Watch Films show.

Throughout the run up to the 96th Oscars ceremony, Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning, Loose Women and ITV News will cover the latest Oscars news and explore the build up to the biggest night in the film calendar.

Film fans can also enjoy short-form content on ITVX, which includes nominee profiles and features exploring the various VIP Oscars events. There will also be a collection of Oscar-winning and Oscar-nominated films available to stream 24/7 on ITVX including Chicago, Flashdance, Ghost, Henry V, No Country For Old Men, Pulp Fiction and more.

Movies tipped for Oscars success this year include Barbie, Oppenheimer, Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon, The Holdovers, Maestro, Past Lives and Anatomy of a Fall, among others.
