TalkTV launches April 25

March 28, 2022

TalkTV, the news channel from Rupert Murdoch’s News UK, will launch on linear TV platforms Sky, Virgin Media, Freeview and Freesat on April 25th.

TalkTV will also be streamed via Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV Plus and on YouTube, as well as via the Talk.TV website and TalkTV iOS and Android apps, and via Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and Twitter.

Piers Morgan Uncensored, the new global show fronted by the former Good Morning Britain presenter, will go to air for the first time on the same day the channel debuts. The sixty minute daily show will be broadcast on weeknights in the UK on TalkTV, streamed on FOX Nation in the US and aired in Australia on Sky News Australia.

Morgan said: “I’m delighted to now be returning to live television with a new daily show whose main purpose is to cancel the Cancel Culture which has infected societies around the world. I want it to be a platform for lively vigorous debate, news-making interviews, and that increasingly taboo three-letter word: fun. I also want it to annoy all the right people.”

The show will form part of the primetime launch schedule for TalkTV, which will broadcast live in the UK on from studio facilities in Ealing and at News UK’s News Building headquarters in London Bridge.

Scott Taunton, EVP, President of Broadcasting, News UK said: “TalkTV will be a new voice for viewers who are interested in straight talking opinions and expert insight on news and current affairs. The channel has been designed for the streaming age and will be accessible on linear TV as well as via social and on demand programming.  We have a roster of new talent who will bring compelling new shows to the screen every weekday evening, alongside journalists from across News UK who have expertise in every genre. Our existing professional talent on TalkRadio already have their own followings and we will be bringing these popular and informed discussions about news and current affairs to a wider audience. Our launch schedule should get the nation talking and bring new choice to viewers in the market.”

Winnie Dunbar Nelson, Executive Editor of Piers Morgan Uncensored, added: “Piers will be back on your screens with a bang and we promise a line-up of exciting guests, big opinions, and thought provoking debate. We can’t wait to get started.”

The primetime launch schedule will also see the debut of The Talkwith the legendary Sharon Osbourne. Airing weeknights on TalkTV, the panel debate will bring together five opinionated famous faces – all from different backgrounds and with differing views – to debate the stories of the day.

Meanwhile political journalist Tom Newton Dunn will present a major weeknight news and current affairs programme on TalkTV.

More details on the shows and the schedule will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
