9.4m watch Scotland vs Switzerland on BBC

Scotland vs Switzerland drew in more than half the nation’s TV viewers on June 19th.

The BBC had a 54 per cent audience share for coverage of Scotland vs Switzerland on BBC One, with a peak audience of 9.4 million people. The match was also streamed 3.6 million times on BBC iPlayer and there was an average audience of 8.6 million watching the 1-1 draw, which kept Scotland’s Euro 2024 hopes alive.

Our TV presentation team of David Moyes, Gabby Logan, Joe Hart and Rachel Corsie did a fantastic job expertly analysing the game, and it’s great to see such a positive audience reaction. Anticipation for Scotland’s final group match against Hungary is high and audiences can follow the action across BBC TV, iPlayer, Sounds and Online.”

Scotland vs Hungary will air on BBC One from 7pm on June 23rd with live coverage also available on iPlayer, BBC 5 Live, BBC Sounds and Online.
